Well same as [link] but with bumpmaping.

Well I was feeling kind of bad cuz i haven’t added some links on my inspirations for this.
One is this: [link] Seen it a long time ago but didn’t know how to do this then. Now after playing a lot with Bitmaps I understood all I needed.
Second this is this: [link] Actually if not that guy and his source code on AS2(well actually after making it my self I must say that his source is horrific but it works) I wouldn’t be inspired enough to try. Thing is that there were few hard things about making it and his source example helped me to understand the idea. Tough source code itself gave me some problems.

A complexity of about 10 made it amazing -- 2 or 3 didn't utilize the bumpmapping.

out of curiosity, is there a semi-laymans terms as to how bump maping works, I get that you have a heightmap, but to know wether light is hitting something I assume you have to know which way its facing... oh, I think I might have got it... you look at the heights of the surrounding pixels and get the angle of incidence to the light I guess... :paranoid:

Well for 10 it looks kind of plain... I mean height differance is not seen. At least compare it with 1-2 complexety.

Well idea is plain simple if you know how DisplacementMapFilter works. I just transfer HeightMap to DisplacementMap(each pixel has needd color for DisplacementMapFilter) Now then i ha a Displacement map. After that i apply DisplacementMapFilter to a LightSource MC or Bimap. As a result i get what you see here :) Well i simplyfied it but something like that...
