Well one of my resent job tasks was to make bunch of preloaders so that client would be able to choose some and well while doing those returned to [link] and [link] and remake them :)

So use mouse to damage him and click to make him teleport again. Well considering the fact he is made of nano-machines damaging him does not really has much of effect except for visual one :)

Edit: Was unsatisfied with glow effect. Was too bright and i the way of seeing him and nanomachines so tuned it down.

Well we have different perspectives :) For me this is hobby and I seen more impressive stuff. If you want I can share links.
I would love for it to be a job but I don't know how to make it one yet :)
But I do know of some people who are something like interactive and generative art mm artists. They also work with installations.

:) Okaay.
There is one guy who dues interactive art installations, he calls it "Art that looks back at you".
[link] Love his stuff :) But strangely am not rally following what he does, which reminds me to try and find if he writes what he does on some blog.

Also check this guy out [link] especially his older stuff, lately he is not that active. Amazing stuff, sadly only in video form but in reality those are interactive apps too
:)

Mmm. I don't know where to start :D Probably with springs. Firstly some math for springs. Basically each particles is connected to a place where it should be by a spring that wants to become infinitely small. And each pixel is connected to cursor by a spring which want to become larger the close it is to cursor. And that's it :) May be not right words as my code has not much to do with springs but it explains idea well no?

Are each pixel a movieclip or did you use bitmapdata in some awesome way? :D

No just array of objects (x,y,sppedX,speedY) and script that loops trough them all on each frame and draws to bitmapData. Using movieclips would be an overkill if I need only pixels without much interactivity and stuff.

Np :) I remember times when my alike scripts were compared to his work a lot and then I was picky because exactly code On which this and some my other workday are based was made a long time ago by me on pascal without any input like Andre works. I was kind of proud about it then even tough this thing is pretty easy :D Now I don't care much but it still kind of bugs me sometimes :)

It's pretty easy actually. Simple oscillator + repulsion form cursor + color change depending on pixel speed. Start from one pixel... Then just make it with a whole image pixel by pixel.

"Simple oscillator + repulsion form cursor" this is the bit i would have trouble with, i have no idea what the math for that looks like! i consider myself inspired, im going to go play with bitmap data + google ^^
