Sometime ago I was asked to make a component for my preloader effect by my colleague. He is designer and uses flash but is not a programmer. So now I have some free time and it was one of things I wanted to spend time on.

Just click on icons to the left and lay with picture afterwards. In lover left corner you can see how many pixels were created. I think that from those pictures sword is most fun to play with :)

And here is component itself :)

I've seen this exact same thing in a few places and open source too. Did you really make this yourself? I have reason to doubt you wrote it from scratch

Yes i did. Actualy alike thing was one of my first works in Flash 3-4 years ago. I dig up few of those some time ago here: [link] One are my initals with very simple effect and toehr thing is logo/name of my mothers firm with same effect.

And about work you saw. I suppose you saw Andre Micheels work. He has something very simmilar with flash logo.
